Great for making sauces and smoothies
The item arrived with no damage to the packaging or the unit inside. Bought this for use in making tomato sauce for Sunday meals. Works much better than the old one. A lot easier to control the level of puree you want the tomatoes to be. It takes less time to achieve the consistency you want for the proper thickness of the sauce. My wife started using it to make smoothies and protein drinks. Great item that appears to be well made and looks great with the other appliances. Has my recommendation if you want a blender/mixer that will do it all, as this one will.

I stuck with Black and Decker blender when my old B & D blender finally broke. ItĆ¢ĀĀs high quality, sturdy and glass (which ppl with plastic blenders said they cracked). Mostly I wanted it for my frozen Margaritas! Nothing worse than a couple of big chunks of ice in ur drink. ItĆ¢ĀĀs not perfect. If I take the extra time to adjust the ice then blend again until it is small enough to suit me. The shipper was fast. Package was sturdy with no breakage. Price is fair compared to others

I upgraded to this from a small Ninja personal unit and this is 100% better. I have been making smoothies using frozen berries rather than fresh and it has no problem blending the frozen and liquid to make a great end product. Very reasonable price as well !!!! Heavy glass jar ….looks and feels solid and well made.

The best and holds everything. Blends great and actually pulverized everything. It cud turn a rock off the ground into a smooth milkshake I swear. Gotta try it. Originally I bought from Amazon, but my delivery got messed up and they refunded me. I went to store and bought some one for about $10 more than Amazon price. So Amazon is the way to go. I recommend if you need a blender you go with this one for sure. You will love it.

Broke After 2.5 Years. Buying another one.
-Bought this blender 2.5 years ago when I moved out-Have used it roughly 2x a day each day for a frozen spinach and banana smoothie 2x a day.-It broke and would not start randomly, however, after around 912.5 uses? I’m fine with that reality.I just bought a new company blender (which was way more expensive) and there’s this rubber smell it’s emitting when blending certain things. I’m not set if I’m going to return it or not? So I bought this just in case. I cannot be without a smoothie for a day LOL.TLDR: This blender is amazing for the money and does the job. No, it doesn’t blend everything down into a fine paste, but honestly it was good enough for me for 2.5 years! I loved it.

Powder gets stuck on the bottom
Nice size, love the glass, but powder gets stuck in a groove on the bottom so I have to mix everything in a bowl and then pour it in. More time and another dish to wash. Annoying. Also pretty loud with a shrill sound at times.

Primarily bought it to replace an old blender that had been leaking and wasn’t blending very well because of a relatively low powered motor, and it works decently enough for that purpose. However, there are some design components that are lacking:There’s no secondary seal like a rubber crush washer between the base of the pitcher and the pitcher bottom that connects into the motorized base.It only actually has two speeds; “lo” and “hi”, with the two other buttons being just pulse forms of those buttons (so they don’t lock when pushed down, good for when you are trying to control exact blending time).The lid seals into the pitcher decently enough, but the flip-top lids let a lot of air in even when closed because they weren’t manufactured with much precision, and the back one is also pretty much useless due to its design; it’s meant to be where you pour liquid in when the blender is still going, but it’s super narrow and doesn’t properly slope into the opening, so you end up with a lot of slop unless you use a funnel, and that just ends up defeating the purpose of the hole in the first place. You’re honestly better off adding liquid from the front flap, since it’s designed so that when you finish pouring from it, you can put the blender back upright and what’s in it will backflow out of the cupole; even better is to just take off the lid if you need to add liquid or pour out of the blender, really.Lastly, the blender base is a solid plastic bit that doesn’t fit right against the glass, so if anything drips down it gets down under the plastic and can sit there where you can’t see it until you go to pour with it and it then spills it all over.All these criticisms are relatively minor, though, compared to its main function, which is why I still give it an overall rating of 4/5.
