Just what I was looking for, sturdy, solid, easy to assemble
I was dreading the arrival as I imagined assembly would be complicated, but this sturdy chair was a breeze to put together… just three bolts and some felt pads for the feet, and everything I needed was included.The tractor-style seat is comfortable; and most of all, unlike those pneumatic office chairs that slowly lose their “oomph” the screw mechanism on this chair keeps the height exactly where I want it. As you can see in the photo, I use a large graphics tablet rather than a monitor, and this chair allows me to sit at just the right height for a perfect viewing angle.I confess I didn’t “get” the pun in the maker’s name; I was pronouncing it is Dyou-whee — thought it might be Chinese! Turns out its “Dee Eye Why” — DIY, get it? In any case, great chair, and wish I’d found it first. Much better than the old gassy pneumatics!

Great price! Great value! Easy to assemble!
These tractor stools are sturdy and we placed them in our Mancave. They look great sitting around the table! When sitting for a long period of time, they are not that comfortable. The price was great and I would Recommend!

Super cute, not so comfortable
As so many other reviews have said (and I ignored), the seat has an annoying tilt forward so that you are constantly having to fight being dumped into the floor. I also feel like this is made for petite people. I am tall and a bit overweight and the seat is just way too small for me. It is about perfect size-wise for my 5’6” and thin teen. They love the look and don’t mind the tilt nearly as much as me.

Sturdy and solid footing
I have been looking for a stool like this for some time. I am pushing 70 and find it hard to walk or stand for any length of time. But, I like to weld and our little farm presents many opportunities to do so. This adjustable stool is just what I need!The description defines the stools material simply as “metal.” This thing is cast iron nigh onto .250 thick in places. The seat back has some spring to it so that I don’t feel “locked” into an inflexible upright position.You can lock the stool’s height in place with a stout lock nut with turning arms attached. But, I like to leave the height adjustment a tad loose so I can swivel side to side as needed to do whatever I’m working on. It won’t go anywhere like that, you would have to make full 360 degree turns to change height.This is a good old fashioned ‘tractor’ seat as was common in years past. This modern stool does them proud.I can recommend this w/out any reservations.

Years ago i wanted a tractor style stool but ended up getting something cheaper… Now the stool i had was coming apart & i’ve been looking for another. I found his gorgeous tractor stool that now came with a back & i was sold! (luv the copper color as well). I read all of the comments 1st before ordering. Stool got here before the time estimate. Box was super heavy but it was easy to put together. It is just as nice as the picture. I’d go as far as to say it’s a beautiful stool and worth the money even with it’s flaws. The seat itself is prob. a heavy cast iron & the rest is prob. some cheaper metal that’s been quickly welded together, but seems sturdy. No, it’s not that comfortable & does lean forward. I added a heart shaped pillow & a great idea from someone else’s comment was to add 2 extra washers each to only the front 2 (out of 3) that screw into the seat that raise the front. (The screws are all a bit short so you have to buy 3 longer screws & the 4 extra washers & as well & i painted them copper…) Good Luck

Great compliments about the chairs they are so rustic and unique.The are counter high and easily ajustable for a table hight as well. Exactly what I was looking for.
