Julep Eyeshadow 101 Crème to Powder Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick Duo, Desert & Champagne

I ordered a single one, then these two and have another one on the way!Easy to apply. Glides on very smoothly and lightly. I do one or two swipes and blend a little with my finger. I prefer the finger over the attached sponge. The metallic has subtle sparkles. ✨ Flattering.Packaging is great as opposed to a pit because your fingers don’t touch the product.Stays on perfectly. You do need a remover of some sort. Won’t come off completely with cleanser and water. I use coconut oil. Takes it off easily and good for your skin. Win win!

These are absolutely great. The color goes on so easily and lasts all day. The colors are perfect for me.

I was deciding between Thrive cosmetics, Julep, or a cheaper brand. Overall Thrive and Julep performed the same. Thrive was slightly better and Julep had one break immediately but I’d pick them for the price and no shipping fee. The best/ most universal color for Thrive was Tara shimmer. It’s a warm copper. Juleps best color by far was Rose shimmer. It’s not super pink. It’s between pink and copper but it would be pretty and flattering on anyone. **NYX brand light pink eye shadow stick is gorgeous. It doesn’t glide quite as smoothly, but I still like it much more! I also like nyx (no affiliation) light pink blush is perfect for cheeks, eyes, and highlighting anything for a natural glow. If you want to make the inside corners of your eyes pop buy a true silver or white eyeliner. It don’t look fake or like too much esp if you blend! All of the light ones claiming to do make eyes pop (nude, pearl, peach, etc) do not work and just look muddied.Here is what didn’t work for me;The julep light pink didn’t show up at ALL on my eyelid. The pearl shimmer is kind of a dirty looking white and not in a good way. The mauve shimmer is not flattering for light brown eyes. Again it literally just looks like a dirty eyelid on its own. Even though one broke, I popped it back into the hole and it’s working so far, so if you want to try julep they do glide on smoothly and easily. Key is: I’d order a medium color. All of the light colors showed nothing and unless you’re going to build and make a Smokey eye the dark ones look dirty and unflattering. The medium times are pretty and quick!

Surprisingly fantastic
I wanted a waterproof taupe cream eyeshadow (not necessarily a stick) and this deal finally popped up several pages into my search. I have a couple of Julep products i really like (blush sticks) and having seen many single Julep shadow sticks for about the same price as this duo, I really couldn’t resist. I was really late to the game but what I hoped to find was a dupe (or at least as close as possible) for the Pat McGrath metallic taupe shadow that much to my dismay, has been discontinued. I saw a youtube makeup influencer rave about the Pat McGrath shade, claiming it was the perfect “‘one and done” product especially for those with cool toned skin. So I spent some exhausting time trying to find the Pat McGrath shadow SOMEWHERE but nope, not a one to be found. Naturally the next step was to check amazon for something similar. I already loved the Julep multi stick blushes but buying makeup online (esp on Amazon) is pretty much a crap shoot. But since the words describing these two Julep shadow sticks ticked all the boxes, I figured, what the hay. When they arrived today, I was extremely happy that BOTH are fantastic colors for me and it’s really nice to have both a taupe matte and a shimmer option. I just hope these sticks wear as well as the blush sticks. The color of the matte taupe stick is what I consider neutral, meaning not warm but not cool either. The shimmer shade is definitely cool but I guess cool tones are finally in vogue again and I couldn’t be happier. This is a very creamy formula pretty much on par with the Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown formulas. And they are much much better than the Sephora brand shadow sticks, which I (unfortunately) tried first….don’t go there. These glide on and are great with and without a shadow primer. I get a sheerer wash when I don’t use a primer and more depth of color when I do. I can probably use these two sticks to do a very nice daytime as well as evening, smokey eye and probably in about 5 minutes (which is amazing…it takes me forever). The matte shade will probably be great for the lower lashline and I’m looking forward to using these to create a “fox” eye look too. So I definitely recommend this duo. When I realized I could get two shades with 2 different finishes for the same price as other sellers are asking for just one, I had to pull the trigger.

These are so nice, they blend beautifully and glide on and dry very quickly. No creases on my mature skin and lift my eyes really nice, got a eyeliner aswell and that’s just amazing aswell. Definitely recommend.
